That fucking activity book.
An adult activity book that allows one to have fun with swear words, while at the same time acting as an outlet for frustrations.
The book was created in a workshop on Critical Design
We were given the task of creating our own critical design concept, which had to address a relevant topic and have a functional prototype.
After a brainstorm with a lot of frustration and cursing, my wonderful fellow student, Andrea Uldahl, and I decided to delve into just this. Swearing.
Studies show that swearing is healthy and has a positive impact on creativity and endurance, so why is it still perceived as a bad thing? We believe that it is time to see the positive side of swearing and separate it from slurs.
That’s why we’ve created an activity book for adults that allows one to have fun with swear words, while at the same time acting as an outlet for frustrations.

We loved the book some much, that we created a brand identity, SMP, campaign and merchandise for ‘That Fucking Activity Book’.
One of the things, making the blood boil in all of us, is public transport, and transport in general.
This became our center of focus, when creating the OOH campaign for the book
Not only did we validated peoples feelings, but be also created a solution for their frustrations.
“Luckily, we have a solution for your frustrations!” became our tagline, and also our SMP.
However strange it may seem, we also took advantage of vandalism.
We made a line of physical and digital stickers, making it possible to interact and react to real world frustrations.
We also created a handfull of ‘go-cards’ with some of the activities from the book. Because who doesn’t love a free postcard?
Would you believe it, we also created a lot of other on crap and merchandise.
