We created a brand identity for a fictional danish Wild West themed restaurant. Our goal was to market us as the ‘inclusive choice‘, with a diverse dietary menu, appearance, and marketing.
Bronco was created by Sille Colbjørn, Martine Goto, and I. We were tasked to create a competing business to the family restaurant Bones, by following Michael Johnsons ‘Branding In Five and a Half Steps’.
We made a market analysis, brand strategy, core design, and finally we implemented the design on the most relevant media. Everything build on our preliminary research.
Bones is a danish based, American themed, well established, middleclass family restaurant.
Their targeted audience is (sadly) dying. This might be because of the increase of people who are on a plant based diet. One in five danish people eat mostly or solely vegetarian food. Bones doesn’t cater to this segment at all.
Therefore we created Bronco. Just like Bones, Bronco is America themed (more specifically Wild West inspired), middleclass family restaurant. We chose to create a more diverse menu, thereby including the neglected segment, yet still cater to meat lovers. Our single minded proposition (and later slogan) is ‘Something for Everyone’ – A promise to the customer, that their needs will be met, and never judged.
